Mona Al Ruwaini, producer of the hit TV shows "The Millions’ Poet" and "Prince of Poets" for Pyramedia has been shortlisted in the Rising Stars category for the Feigenbaum Leadership Excellence Awards." The awards, administered by the Virtual Executive Club (VEC), at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University in Dubai, United Arab of Emirates, have been previously awarded to high profile personalities including H.H Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Makhtoum, Ruler of Dubai." In 2009, Mona’s sister Nashwa Al Ruwaini, Media personality, CEO and Board Member of Pyramedia won a Feigenbaum award in the Women Leaders category.
Mona started producing the highest rated television shows for the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage and Abu Dhabi TV in 2007 at the tender age of 23 while also holding the position of Marketing Director for Pyramedia, the media production company responsible for the two TV shows and others such as ’The Nashwa Show’." Under her portfolio of achievements over the years Mona is also head of Pyramedia’s talent agency, PyraStars which she established in Cairo in 2005 and is responsible for signing Middle Eastern actors/actresses for lead roles in international film productions." Mona was responsible for signing Syrian Actor Ghassan Massoud in Ridley Scott’s "Kingdom of Heaven," and Egyptian Actor Amr Waked in the BBC-HBO TV drama -House of Saddam."
The Feigenbaum Awards are awarded in the categories of Rising Stars, Women Leaders, Accomplished Leaders and Exceptional Leaders and are dedicated to honoring men and women in the Arab World for their exemplary leadership in driving their organizations to fulfill their role in business and society, for their uncompromising style to instigate a quality approach and culture to work and for acting as a role model to all.’ The shortlist of candidates for the various categories are now being judged by an international Jury and will be announced at a gala award ceremony on March 23, 2010 in Dubai.
