Sharjah Airport Successfully Renews Level 2 Accreditation From ACI World’s "Airport Customer Experience Accreditation" Program

Sharjah Airport has successfully renewed its Level 2 “Airport Customer Experience Accreditation Program” from Airports Council International (ACI), reaffirming its continued excellence in the regional aviation industry and reinforcing its position as a leading platform in providing a safe, smart, and seamless travel experience. This accreditation is the only one of its kind globally that offers a comprehensive framework for measuring and managing passenger satisfaction and experience across all stages of travel—highlighting the vital role this sector plays in global sustainable development.

The airport secured the renewal of this accreditation after fulfilling all the necessary criteria, delivering a high-quality passenger experience in line with the highest international standards. Sharjah Airport initially received this accreditation in 2022.

A Global Vote of Confidence in Sharjah Airport’s Passenger Experience

H.E. Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA), emphasized that renewing the ACI’s Customer Experience Accreditation represents a new global vote of confidence in the airport’s customer experience journey. He described it as a significant milestone that embodies the SAA’s ambitious vision to build a fully integrated operational model that transforms every travel journey into a positive, smooth, and exceptional experience. This achievement contributes to raising passenger satisfaction levels and meeting their expectations in line with global best practices, supporting the strategic goal of positioning Sharjah Airport among the top five regional airports.

He added:“Over the past years, we have launched numerous pioneering initiatives aimed at developing a comprehensive customer experience framework. This is based on effective human interaction delivered by our highly qualified and trained teams, alongside state-of-the-art infrastructure that provides a safe and comfortable travel environment. We have also adopted the latest smart solutions that streamline travel procedures. Our efforts continue in a systematic manner to anticipate passenger expectations, enhance communication by analyzing data, collecting feedback, and receiving suggestions, as well as proactively addressing future needs. Furthermore, we foster institutional integration and maintain strong cooperation with our strategic partners to continuously raise standards of quality and excellence. All of this reinforces Sharjah Airport’s role as a key gateway and a distinguished representation of the UAE’s values of hospitality, progress, and sustainable development.”
