Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) is prepared for the significant increase in passenger and cargo traffic at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Ain International Airport and Al Bateen Executive Airport. ADAC has increase staffing in all areas of the airports, which also includes national volunteers from Takatof Voluntary Social Programme, to facilitate the smooth flow of F1-related traffic, whether visitors to the race or Formula 1 cars and equipment. An additional exclusive lounge will be open over the F1 weekend to ensure the comfort of its VIP guests.
An ’F1 Readiness’ steering committee has been involved in the preparations for the significant role ADAC will play in this major sporting event which provides one more opportunity to showcase the best-in-class airport facilities to thousands of visitors. The committee has overseen strategies in all key areas including loading, fuelling and airplane parking, and working with the airside operations, security, cargo, hospitality and commercial subcommittees.
In this regard, H.E Khalifa Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports Company, stated: "We are excited to welcome the world to Abu Dhabi through our world-class airport".

Passengers travelling through Abu Dhabi International Airport will see a number of special promotions and activities including a special autograph-signing visit by F1 champion Mika Hakkinen, an exact replica of Lewis Hamilton’s car on display, and many chances to win anything from Lewis Hamilton’s racing helmet to F1 tickets and merchandise.
