livehealthy.ae, the only health and wellness online magazine for men and women in the UAE, will launch its first health and wellness festival, open to the public, on 24 and 25 January at Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi. The Livehealthy Festival, which centers on every body and mind, offers two days of free programs and activities tailored to boost the wellbeing and happiness of every individual in the UAE.
The program of the Livehealthy Festival aligns with the Seven Dimensions of Wellness, concentrating on fitness, health, mindfulness, community, productivity, environment and food. Focusing on moderation when making lifestyle changes, the health and wellness festival gives guests the opportunity to learn more about the mind, body and nutrition in a fun and inclusive atmosphere.
Livehealthy Festival offers a family-friendly environment that targets all community members. With yoga sessions, meditation classes, workouts, expert panels and workshops led by leading health and wellness professionals from the UAE, visitors will be spoilt for choice by the multitude of activities.
Yoga sessions and workouts will be conducted by trained health professionals, with classes tailored for participants of varying ages and skill levels, ranging from kids’ yoga to the Vinyasa flow; workshops and panels will cover a variety of activities and interests, such as understanding food sensitivities, mindfulness, meditation and how energy can be considered medication. These sessions include “Vegan Baking” and “How to Go Zero Waste,” among many others.
Ann Marie McQueen, the editor of livehealthy.ae, said: “At livehealthy.ae, we believe in positive thinking, regular physical activity, whole-food, healthy eating and being active members of our community. We believe that making small adjustments in our lives can be much more effective than attempting big sweeping changes, which are not always sustainable. We believe in taking things in moderation, learning new things and ways of doing things, and understanding that we’re all part of something larger.”
She added: “With the Livehealthy Festival, we hope to bring to life many of the topics our experienced journalists have written about in our online magazine. In addition to opportunities for getting active, zen and creative, we'll provide a real learning environment, with access to knowledge and experience from a range of experts, so that the men, women and families who attend can make informed choices.”
The LiveHealthy Festival allows participants to dive deeper into health and wellness with ease, through education and providing deeper insights into the benefits of lifestyle changes. Visitors to the festival will also be able to enjoy healthy food options at a variety of food trucks and stalls available on site, allowing even the pickiest of eaters to be spoilt for choice.
Doors open at 9:30am, with sessions at the festival starting at 10am.
