The Arab Centre For Tourist Media, yesterday, began receiving nomination requests for the 11th Arab Tourism Media Oscars Awards 2019.
The nominations process will end on 20th February, 2019. The highest number of votes on an electronic voting system will decide the winners.
The nominations will be assessed by an academic committee comprising journalists, university professors specialising in Arab tourism, and media representatives from over 14 Arab countries, in cooperation with the International Media Training Academy in Tunisia.
Speaking at a press conference in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Abdulrahman Al Bastaki, Secretary-General of the UAE Journalists Association, Hussain Ali Al-Manaie, Chairman of the Arab Centre For Tourist Media, said that this year’s event will include new categories, while pointing out that the number of visits to the award's website exceeded 300,000.
He also urged journalists, writers, bloggers and everyone interested in tourism, as well as authorities and institutions related to media and tourism in the UAE and the Arab world, to participate in the competition, while noting that voting can be done through the centre's webpage.
