The First Well Woman Conference 2019, the capital’s leading medical conference on the critical issues and the latest advances in obstetrics, gynaecology and midwifery, opened today in Abu Dhabi.
The two-day conference is delivering 14.00 Continuing Medical Education (CME) Hours from the Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi and is being chaired by Dr. George Botros, Chief of Gynecology and Dr. Sadia Malick, Lead Consultant, Early Pregnancy Unit at Corniche Hospital. The organising committee is chaired by Dr. Fatima Al Hajeri, Consultant, Obstetrics & Gynecology, at Corniche Hospital.
As part of the event's scientific programme, over 25 globally renowned speakers are focusing on up-to-date medical research and strategies, as well as current issues and best practices in the field of women’s healthcare.
Hands-on workshops are being delivered in the field of colposcopy, laparoscopy, urogynecology and contraception. In addition to seminars focusing on complicated case studies as well as innovative and experimental solutions.
The intention is to create opportunities for sharing experience and taking part in debates. Alongside the conference, an exhibition showed new developments in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
The conference attracted over 350 gynecologists, obstetricians, radiologists, nurses, midwives and other healthcare professionals from both the UAE and the MENA region. The event is being organised by Synovetics, a leading healthcare event management company.
