The UAE snatched the UIM XCAT World Championship title after Team Abu Dhabi 4's Shaun Torrente and Faleh Al Mansoori hit the front with 213 points at the concluding round of the championship which ran here. Dubai Police came second with 204 points and Abu Dhabi 5 third with 184 points.

Abu Dhabi team dedicated the dear victory to the UAE leadership, and H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, congratulated the champions, who, he said, are a source of pride for the UAE and the Arab sport in general.

"Team Abu Dhabi are used to excelling themselves across all global championships. They are fully aware of the enormity of the responsibility they are shouldering towards their homeland and they have performed their tasks in the best possible manner," added Sheikh Sultan, who is also the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club (ADMC).
