Al Hilal Bank Awarded For Most Innovative CSR Campaign In The UAE

Al Hilal Bank has been awarded “Most Innovative CSR Campaign (Child safety program) UAE 2018” from Global Banking and Finance Review, a leading financial publication in the Middle East, for its Child Road Safety Campaign, which was developed in line with the bank’s long-term Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plan.

The bank launched its child safety CSR campaign a year ago, focusing on giving back to the UAE community and raising awareness about safer roads for children.

The bank collaborated with three hospitals, Danat Al Emarat, Al Corniche Hospital, and NMC Royal hospital, to help distribute more than 150 child car seats along with a car seat awareness campaign on social media and throughout branches. ‘Baby on board’ signage including stickers and sunshades were also produced and distributed to the public.  

Alex Coelho, Al Hilal Bank’s CEO, said, “We are proud to be the recipients of an award that focuses on CSR, a topic that is important to any community.  We hope to be at the forefront of the wellbeing of the country where we are corporate citizens. The children of the UAE are its future, and this CSR campaign enabled us to contribute substantially to this mandate and reinforce a culture of child road safety that would have a lasting positive impact on the future.”

Al Hilal Bank is currently also promoting the child safety campaign with employees internally through the distribution of car seats, ensuring that the programme continues to maintain a long-term influence via their engagement as ambassadors of the bank.
