The Centre of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi, Tadweer, has launched a recycling auction on its website, which was developed to serve waste producers in the field, targeting waste management companies and recycling facilities.

The service provides an electronic platform for recyclable waste producers to advertise and sell recyclable waste materials and promote reuse, which is a key principle and one of three main pillars of environmental sustainability and sound waste management which are: reduction of waste production, reuse and recycling.

The service supports the organisation's objective to contribute to the digital transformation of its services, establish an integrated waste management system, and manage an innovative and integrated waste sector in the emirate.

Hussain Al Amoudi, Acting Director of Licensing, Tariff and Customer Service, said, "Through this electronic service, we aim to enhance the innovative management of the waste sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and encourage the business sector to invest in the trade of recyclable materials and digital transformation of services using technical solutions to achieve aspirations of their customers and raise environmental awareness."
