Alex Coelho, CEO of Al Hilal Bank and Prasanth Manghat the global CEO and Executive Director of NMC Health, handed over child car seats to new parents on the 23rd of November at NMC Royal Hospital in Abu Dhabi, as part of the Bank’s long-term Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, focusing on Child Safety in the UAE. The Child Safety Campaign is a collaborative effort that spans many leading UAE hospitals and relevant authorities under the direction of UAE Traffic Control, the Ministry of Happiness and the National Tolerance Programme.
As UAE’s largest private sector hospital, the strategic partnership between Al Hilal Bank and NMC Royal Hospital on the Child Safety Campaign is expected to cause a wave of positive change across the UAE. NMC Royal Hospital in Abu Dhabi is one of the partner hospitals participating in Al Hilal Bank’s Child Safety Campaign.
Part of a long-term Program, this CSR initiative is aimed at making UAE roads safer for children by raising awareness of dangerous driving car habits.
On the importance of comprehensive partnerships; Alex Coelho, commented: “Collaborating with the pioneering NMC Royal Hospital is a strong call to action to new parents to make a tangible change in the community by enhancing their knowledge of traffic safety.”
Prasanth Manghat, CEO & Executive Director of NMC Healthcare added: “Since we see over 7 million patients annually and our network of over 100 paediatricians look after about 10,000 children delivered in our facilities annually, the child safety remains a cornerstone at the heart our commitment to the community. Children’s safety is a demanding mission; as individuals and organizations, we owe it to the community.”
The NMC Royal Hospital campaign visit encouraged healthy discussions on child safety awareness. Car stickers and information leaflets were distributed.
