Al Hilal Bank Unveils Its Long-Term CSR Program Focusing On Child Safety
(25 July 2017)

Al Hilal Bank today unveiled its plan for a long-term Corporate Social Responsibility program focusing on Child Safety in the UAE. The Bank is the first in the UAE to tackle multiple aspects of children’s safety under one umbrella. The CSR program is spearheaded by CEO, Alex Coelho, and is set to officially launch by the end of July 2017.

Founded with the objective of offering exceptional banking services while staying true to its Islamic identity, Al Hilal Bank aims to leverage its core competencies through this CSR program. The objective is to give back to the community and continue to inspire, motivate and collaborate with the relevant parties to contribute towards creating safer roads for children in the UAE.

Alex Coelho, CEO of Al Hilal Bank, said: “Child safety is at the heart our community and all of us here at Al Hilal Bank are passionate about it.  It is one of the most important issues we can address today. Improving the lives and well-being of our children is now part of our mission.  Children’s safety is a demanding mission; as individuals and organizations, we owe it to the community to find creative ways to actively contribute towards safeguarding our children and families. We want to encourage and promote a results-driven program that delivers rewarding results to the communities we serve. We truly care.”

The CSR program will focus on multiple aspects of Child safety starting with Child Car Seats, followed by CPR trainings and general awareness campaigns on Car Suffocation, Texting and Driving, Tailgating, Pool Safety and Food Choking Hazards across Al Hilal Bank branches.

Al Hilal Bank will be cooperating with key entities in the UAE for the execution of the program and for making this philanthropic debut possible. The campaign will be run in comprehensive partnership with leading Governmental entities and hospitals in the UAE for the betterment of society and economic progress, as per the UAE Vision 2021 and Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, under the direction of UAE Traffic Control, the Ministry of Happiness and the National Tolerance Program.
