In celebration of World Heritage Day, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA AD) and Al Ain Palace Museum present a variety of activities that reflect the rich heritage and culture of the United Arab Emirates.  World Heritage Day was initiated by UNESCO in 1983, with the overarching aim to honor the diversity of human heritage and World Heritage sites around the globe. The 2017 theme, “Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism,” will offer a programme that emphasizes the values that heritage upholds. Al Ain’s archaeological and historic sites and landscapes, including those listed on UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2011, make it the ideal location for the annual celebrations.
