Sorouh Real Estate PJSC, one of the leading Abu Dhabi-based real estate developers, today announced a further appointment to its senior management team. Samer Abu-Hijleh joins the company as Chief Operations Officer, bringing expertise in engineering and construction project management and a proven track-record in project delivery to the CEO and Board of Directors. Mounir D Haidar, Chief Executive Officer, Sorouh Real Estate PJSC, said: “Mr. Abu-Hijleh brings a wealth of experience to the role of Chief Operations Officer from a long and successful career managing large construction projects around the world. His appointment underlines our commitment to delivering Sorouh’s many landmark developments on time.” Mr. Abu-Hijleh has more than 20 years experience of developing, master planning, and managing the engineering and construction of large infrastructure, airport, port, water, power and building projects in testing environments around the world. Prior to joining Sorouh, Mr. Abu-Hijleh spent the majority of his career managing projects for Bechtel, one of the world’s largest engineering firms. He has a PhD in civil engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and has lectured courses in project development and management.
