Zakat Fund expenditure since the beginning of the year, up until September, has amounted to AED132 million, up by 27% compared to the same period last year.

Abdullah Al Muhairi, Secretary-General of the Zakat Fund, said that during that period, the organisation held 96 meetings approving the provision of AED132 million to eligible beneficiaries.

The fund provides financial aid to a range of groups, including those with limited means, orphans, students, job seekers and the disabled.
