Abu Dhabi Police Qualifies 20 Members In International Finance Reporting Standards

In a meeting, Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, emphasized the commitment of the police to enhance the competency of its members and to support them in the development of their skills in the provision of premium services.  

He also noted that the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ) is keen to continuously train and develop its staff; and to establish world-class and advanced standards and conditions across all police departments and for each member. Such efforts are made in order to elevate the quality of services provided to and meet all international standards set for creating the most sophisticated business environment.

Major General Badran awarded 20 members of the Finance and Services Department certificates upon their completion of the training course for International Finance Reporting Standards (IFRS). He encouraged them to apply the sciences they have acquired towards the development of work within the framework of the GHQ’s financial accountability transformational project. He also stressed on the importance of exerting further efforts, cooperation, and of the need to follow-up with the developments in the fields of science and technology.

For their part, the members expressed their respect for the leadership’s commitment to enhancing their professionalism by organizing specialized courses that help to achieve the strategic objectives of ensuring effective financial management and the optimal utilization of human resources.

The 20 members have also attended training courses in International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) in order to review the best international practices. These courses fall within the framework and efforts of the Abu Dhabi Police to develop financial and operational efficiencies, and in enhancing resource utilization and management in accordance with world-class financial data and reports.

The meeting was attended by Major General Salem Al Shamesi, Deputy Director General of Finance and Services and the Director of the Financial Affairs Department
