Masdar Institute of Science and Technology set the scene for the occasion of the 43rd UAE National Day with a number of cultural and historical activities organized in coordination with the UAE Student Club. The day’s celebrations commenced with the UAE National Anthem and a traditional march by the Abu Dhabi Police Band for the crowds gathered at the Masdar Institute campus.
The campus community enjoyed a number of cultural activities, which included Harbeya with traditional song and dance performances, henna art, traditional handicrafts and a UAE heritage antiques display area. As part of the celebrations, participants were also treated to a special poetry recital by Sheikh Rakkad bin Abdullah Al Ameri, and folk singing performances by Mohamed Bin Hamed Al Mehali, emphasizing the rich culture and heritage of the UAE.
Other features of the celebrations included a photo booth where celebrants posed in traditional UAE attire, a camel ride area, falconry displays, and special stalls for preparing traditional UAE dishes. The entire community thoroughly enjoyed the activities that marked the occasion of the 43rd UAE National Day.
