GCC Secretary-General, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, praised the preparations made for the Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which was held yesterday at Yas Marina circuit, in a statement made to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, after he attended the race.

He also expressed his thanks and gratitude for the kind invitation he received from His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, praising the efforts made by His Highness to promote Abu Dhabi's position locally and globally, and to develop the services level in all fields.

Al Zayani congratulated the UAE on the success of the race weekend, praising the UAE's interest in hosting major international sports tournaments and events that represent a source of tourist attraction and an effective means to highlight the achievements of the UAE.
