FGB customer, Avtar Singh Harsangat Singh, recently won the grand prize of AED 1,000,000 in the seventh quarterly draw of the bank’s FirstSavings Certificate (FSC) scheme.
FGB launched the FSC scheme in November 2012 to promote a savings culture amongst UAE residents and enhance financial literacy in the country. FGB’s aim was to provide products and services that meet the financial needs and goals of their customers, and reward them for their loyalty.
Mr. Singh said: “I was really taken by surprise. I have been regularly saving in FSC for my family. I have won smaller prizes here and there, but I never expected to win the grand prize. I’d like to thank FGB for such a generous amount.”
Khalid Al Ghufili, Head of Sales and Service, FGB Customer Experience, presented the award to the winner.

FSC offers five daily prizes of AED 1,000 each, 1,961 prizes monthly prizes of up to AED 50,000 each, and one grand prize worth AED 1 million every quarter. The more certificates customers hold, and the longer they hold them for, the more chances they have of winning prizes which are distributed in the form of e-certificates. FSC is open to all UAE residents, nationals and expatriates. FSC offers a total of 24,822 prizes each year.
