Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has announced that October will have been the busiest month of exhibitions and conference events in the year to date. The region’s leading exhibition and conference venue is maintaining the momentum seen in the first half of 2014, when it hosted 28 exhibitions, an increase of 56 percent on the same period last year. ADNEC is forging ahead in its mission to expand its customer base, build new external partnerships and improve its value proposition.
Welcoming tens of thousands of delegates and participants during October, ADNEC has hosted eight large-scale events covering various industries including energy, health, water sustainability, show business and family and community awareness.
From October 13-27, ADNEC co-hosted the Osrat Aldar Forum 2014 along with the Al-Ain Rotana Hotel and Madinat Zayed, Western Area. The Forum, held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, promoted the empowerment of families as the bedrock of the development of society. The inaugural International Showbiz Expo (ISBE), held from 21-23 October, was the first 360-degree entertainment industry event to be held in the Middle East region. ISBE seeks to make the film industry truly global by supporting film, TV, theatre, digital content and media companies, and young independent talent across the world.
The twelfth annual conference and exhibition of POWER-GEN Middle East, held from 12-14 October 2014 attracted delegates and attendees from over 50 countries across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and around the world to discuss sustainable power industry solutions for the future. On 18-20 October the Arab Health Recruitment & Training Fair showcased the region's largest recruitment and career development show dedicated to the healthcare industry. The exhibition was held in conjunction with 18 free-to-attend conferences - with selected conferences offering CME credits.
The leading project management consultancy IQPC held the Stormwater Management Summit from 19-22 October 2014. This event provided an interactive platform for government and industry leaders to address the urgent challenges relating to stormwater drainage networks. From 20-22 October the National Show for Society Awareness and Humanitarian Services, Taweya 2014 promoted enhanced social interaction among UAE nationals and residents.
The Korean Medical Tourism Forum on 28-29 October presented the most recent advances in Korean medicine and medical tourism opportunities. From 28-30 October the NAJAH education, training and careers exhibition provided the perfect opportunity for attendees to meet and discuss their future path with over a hundred local and international exhibitors, including prestigious universities and leading companies.
ADNEC’s continued growth marks it out as a key player in the development of the business tourism sector in Abu Dhabi.
