ISO Certification For ADP Finance Department In Environment And Health Management

The General Directorate for Finance and Services at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ); the Clubs and Sports Activities Department; and the Projects and Buildings Maintenance sections in Abu Dhabi, the Western Region and Al Ain have received the ISO 14001 certification for Environment Management System Standards and the OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health and Safety System Standards. These certifications are a result of the efforts made to implement the two systems, and through the spreading of an environment culture and committing to standards of health and safety.

Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, stressed the keenness of the police leadership to support the Ministry of Interior’s quality projects and to provide the best services for its personnel and for the public. Major General Badran added that the certifications will contribute to further improving the performance indicators. He attributed the achievement to the efforts of the staff in the General Directorate for Finance and Services and their distinctions in modernizing and developing the work. Major General Badran additionally expressed his appreciation of their creative ideas in advancing the business systems and applications.

Major General Badran received the certificates in his office at the Finance and Services Directorate from Major Dr. Saif Salem Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director of the Strategy and Performance Development at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.

Colonel Faisal Sultan Al Shuaibi, Director of Strategy and Performance Development at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, said that the application of the Environment Management System and the Occupational Health and Safety System is in accordance with the requirements of the Government of Abu Dhabi in regards to the implementation of systems in which involve the environment, sustainability, health and occupational safety. The implementation reflects the responsibility of the police and their concern for environmental and sustainability issues.  

Colonel Al Shuaibi stressed the keenness of the Government of the UAE to care for the UAE community’s quality of life, which embodies the strategy of the Ministry of Interior in providing excellent services to enhance the confidence of the public and to increase customer satisfaction in the provided services, which are provided in accordance with the highest international standards.

In the same context, Saif Al Nuaimi considered the ISO certifications of the Directorate for Finance and Service as an achievement in efficiency and a realization of the quality plan as outlined by the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. This achievement was made possible due to the support of the police leadership, the effort of quality teams, and the dedication of staff.
