Etihad Airways has announced that it will re-route its flights to avoid conflict airspace in Iraq.
The decision follows the deterioration of the security situation in parts of the country.
On Thursday 7 August Etihad Airways announced that it had suspended all flights to Erbil, Iraq with immediate effect until further notice.
The safety of Etihad Airways’ passengers and staff is of paramount importance, and the airline will continue to monitor the security situation closely.
Flights to Basra and Baghdad, which have a daily risk assessment, continue to operate as normal.
