Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) is gearing up to host the second edition of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), one of the largest gatherings on energy sustainability in the world and the largest in the region. Attracting global decision makers and policy makers from the energy industry, ADSW begins next week, from 18-25 January.
Hosted by Masdar, ADSW will include six components namely World Future Energy Summit (WFES), the International Water Summit (IWS), the 4th Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the Renewable Energy Jobs Conference, the Zayed Future Energy Prize Awards and the newly added EcoWASTE 2014. In support of the UAE’s role as a driver of energy diversification, ADSW seeks holistic solutions to environmental issues related to energy and water conservation, renewable energy and waste management.
This year, the eight-day programme will draw more than 30,000 participants from around the world to deliberate on international policies and best practices to ensure a clean and green future. ADSW will also feature exhibitions of the latest technology innovations in the main focus areas.

“Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and its connected conferences and exhibitions is one of the largest and most important events on our annual calendar.
With over 140 government delegations and 650 international and local media representatives participating, policy-makers, CEOs, financial institutions, town planners, entrepreneurs, universities and stake holders from across the world will converge under the same roof to think of ways to harmonize key environmental, social and economic sustainability objectives.
Eight hundred companies from over 40 countries will exhibit at the event. More than 650 exhibitors have enlisted as part of WFES and over 50 leading suppliers have enlisted under EcoWASTE. Exhibitors who have registered under IWS will present water conservation solutions, which are specially needed for arid regions.
The IRENA Assembly and Jobs Conference will take place on 18-19 January, followed by theWFES, IWS and EcoWASTEon 20-22 January. The Zayed Future Energy Prize Awards ceremony will also take place on 20 January.
