TDIC Appoints Belevari Marina As Of Eastern Mangroves Marina
(26 November 2013)

Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), the master developer of major tourism, cultural and residential destinations in Abu Dhabi, announced the appointment of Belevari Marine, a leading marine leisure and hospitality company specialized in yacht operations and charters, as the operator of the Eastern Mangroves Marina. This announcement coincides with the recent opening of the new exclusive 30-berth marina at the Eastern Mangroves complex.

Conveniently located close to the city centre, the Eastern Mangroves Marina is the latest addition to the Eastern Mangroves complex which includes residential, hospitality and leisure facilities. It can house boats and yachts ranging from 8 to 33 metres long while providing a five-star, luxury experience for its users, an attribute that has become synonymous with TDIC’s range of developments in the Emirate. In addition to breath-taking views from the dock and ease of access to Abu Dhabi’s glittering sea, boat owners can enjoy a wide range of facilities at this boutique-style marina including 24-hour security, marina trolley services, golf buggy services, electricity and water connections, mooring assistance and battery charging services.

Ahmed Al Fahim, Executive Director of Marketing, Communications, Sales and Leasing at TDIC, said: “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Belevari Marine as our official marina operator. We anticipate our marinas to enjoy high demand by boat owners especially at the newly open Eastern Mangroves Marina which stretches along The Promenade, a souk-type retail avenue that will start to attract visitors and residents with the opening of its restaurants and dining venues.”

The Eastern Mangroves complex consists of the 50-apartment Eastern Mangroves Residences, the 77-apartment Eastern Mangroves Promenade, the 88-apartment Eastern Mangroves Suites by Jannah Hotels & Resorts, and the 222-room five-star Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara as well as the Promenade, which features six restaurants, a supermarket, a ladies beauty salon as well as a specially created pedestrian zone, extensive parking facilities, including 370 parking spaces and a dedicated valet service.

Captain Berend Lens van Rijn, Chief Executive Officer of Belevari Marine LLC, said: “We are looking forward to our work at both the Eastern Mangroves Marina and Al Bateen Wharf. We have already started to receive requests for registrations at the Eastern Mangroves and anticipate the marina to add more life to the promenade especially as new restaurants start to open.”

Belevari will also offer their high-quality marine and boating services to owners at Al Bateen Wharf. Located in Abu Dhabi’s oldest occupied area, the 323-berth marina can house boats and yachts ranging from 10 to 18 metres in length. Located in one of Abu Dhabi’s oldest occupied areas, it serves today as a Fishermen’s Wharf to the Emirati fishermen who have been using the area for generations.
