ADNEC Gears Up To Host Taweya And Najah 2013

Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC)is set to hostthe third edition ofthe National Show for Society Awareness and Humanitarian Services (Taweya)from 28- 30 October,as well asNajah, the largest education, training and careers exhibition in the UAE, from 29 – 31 October, 2013.

Taweyaseeks to promote the culture of making a difference among community members through volunteering and participating in social initiatives organised across the region. In addition to shedding light on the services that Taweyaoffers, the platform will bring together government and private entities, as well as welfare organisationsto highlight their latest innovations and positive interventions in strengthening family unity, social solidarity and community partnership.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Chief Commercial Officer at ADNEC, said: “ADNEC is pleased to host the National Show for Society Awareness and Humanitarian Services for the third consecutive yearas it will allow community stakeholders to directly interact with humanitarian organisations, special needs centres, and representatives of charitable causes. This noteworthy event will aspire and positively impact the lives of thousands of people across the region.”

It is also worth mentioning that ADNEC will be hostingABILITIESme in April 2014, the first-of-its-kind event in the region that seeks to empower people with disabilities and special needs.”

The seventh annual Najah exhibition, organised under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, is set to attract more than 120 exhibitors.

The three-day exposerves as a unique platform for students to meet recruitment advisors from leading local and international universities, discover scholarship and internship opportunities, as well as gain professional advice from faculty members. Najah also offers potential opportunities for professionals pursuing new career opportunities in government and non-government entities in the region.

Al Dhaheriadded: “Education is a key factor in enabling the upcoming generation to succeed amongst the professional workforce. Hosting educational and career fairs of this magnitude will benefit the community as a whole and positively impact our UAE economy. Many educational institutions from across the regionin addition to multiple government and private organisations will be present at the expo to provide onsite guidance to students and visitors seeking possible vacancies. Last year,Najahattracted over 18,000 visitors and we anticipate the numbers to exceedthis year.”
