Etihad Airways Announces New Sao Paulo Schedule

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates,unveiled new timings for its daily service between São Paulo and Abu Dhabi offering air travellers more convenient travel options and improved flight connections over its Abu Dhabi hub.

From 27 October to 19 December, flights will depart from the Brazilian city at 7.15 pm (Brazil Local time), and from 20 Decemberonwards, flights will depart at 11.15 pm.

The new schedule will greatly improve the number of connections over the airline’s Abu Dhabi hub to more than 350flights a week to destinations in the Gulf region, North Africa, Levant, and the Far East.

Etihad Airways launched flights to São Paulo, its first destination in South America inJune this year,offering 3,360 seats per week between Abu Dhabi and São Paulo.

Kevin Knight, Etihad Airways’ Chief Strategy and Planning Officer, said: “The new schedule builds on the success of our existing service and the high demand from business and leisure travellers both in Brazil and the UAE.”

“The schedule will provide easy convenient connections to and from destinations further east in Korea, China, Japan and further across Asia.”

The airline will continue to operate ultra-long range Airbus A340-500 aircraft on the route, seating 240 passengers in a spacious three-class cabin – 12 in Diamond First Class, 28 in Pearl Business Class, and 200 in Coral Economy Class.
