Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), master developer of major tourism, cultural and residential destinations in Abu Dhabi, received two prestigious awards for its flagship project Saadiyat at the World Travel Awards 2013 Middle East Gala Ceremony held in Dubai yesterday. Saadiyat was awarded the Middle East’s Leading Tourist Development Project for 2013 and the Middle East’s Leading Beach Destination for 2013.
Ahmed Al Fahim, Executive Director of Marketing, Communications, Sales and Leasing at TDIC, who received the awards on behalf of the master developer, said: “We’re delighted to receive the awards for our destination. Saadiyat, which was at first a vision, has now become among the region’s top tourism and beach destinations. Saadiyat is destined for more success in the future as the rest of our cultural, educational and leisure projects are realized.”
The World Travel Awards is acknowledged around the world as the highest achievement that a travel product could hope to receive, celebrating excellence in the global and travel tourism industry. The World Travel Awards 2013 Middle East Ceremony held at Le Royal Meridien Resort & Spa Dubai, brought together the region’s tourism industry leaders, including senior officials of leading travel companies, government ministers and tourist board chiefs.
