Inspired by the initiative ‘Plant a Union Tree’ by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President of UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), the Number One Bank in the UAE, planted ‘union tree’ in front of its branch in Umm Al Quwain.
Recently, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid encouraged citizens, residents and companies to plant a tree in their houses and work places in celebration and commemoration of the glorious UAE National Day.
Abdul Aziz Al Mandoos, NBAD Acting Area Manager in Sharjah, Ajman, and Umm Al Quwain; Karima Al Mulla, Branch Manager of NBAD in Umm Al Quwain; along with all other branch managers of the area (Sharjah/Ajman/UAQ) and the senior staff attended the event.
“We are honored to answer H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s “Plant a Union Tree” initiative, which makes our country more beautiful and sustainable,” said Abdul Aziz Al Mandoos, NBAD Acting Area Manager in Sharjah, Ajman, and Umm Al Quwain.
Trees are an essential element of the ecosystem that provide habitat for countless organisms, stabilize the soil and produce oxygen during day time.
“H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s encouragement to plant a tree in honor of our nation’s 41st auspicious founding leaves a perpetual legacy for future and reminds us of the importance of simple actions such as planting a life,” said Karima Al Mulla, the Manager of the Umm Al Quwain Branch.
