To celebrate the first ever Summer in Abu Dhabi festival, which opens at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) on Thursday the 26th of June, Etihad Airways is to give AED 70,000 worth of tickets to any of its 45 international destinations during the first week of the festival. Event organisers, ADNEC and the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), revealed that to enter the competition, visitors only need to place their security wrist bands with contact names and numbers, into a special Etihad competition drop box. Two names will then to be drawn at random from these drop boxes on each of the first seven days of the show and the lucky winners will each receive AED 5,000 worth of flights. Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ executive vice president marketing and product, said: “Summer in Abu Dhabi is set to be a wonderful event which will entertain residents staying in the city for the summer as well as those visiting from abroad and Etihad Airways is thrilled to be donating tickets for the prize draw.” Faisal Al Sheikh, Head of Events Section for ADTA commented: “This is a wonderful gift from Etihad Airways and is a fantastic way for us to thank the visitors who come to the show during the first week.” Winners will be contacted after the end of the first week and told how they can redeem their prizes. Summer in Abu Dhabi runs until August 18th and tickets are priced at AED 30 for an adult and AED 20 for a child under 16; children under 4 will get in free.
